Recap: K. Pritty Birthday Bash & Fusion Part II at District

With BostonFab! out of town, attending the DCFab! 1 Year Anniversary, I decided I would make sure the Fab! Family was represented to the fullest, at the official bday celebration of one of self deemed Boston Nightlife Exec- K. Pritty.

After executing a skillful parallel parking operation, BostonFab! Photographer Deniece, Fab! Friend Melissa, and myself headed into District (180 Lincoln St, Financial District) to take part in the festivities. By RSVPing we were able to bypass waiting in line and cover charge, making us financially able to hit the bar…hard! …shout outs to our drinking buddies - Larry (Stylist at Trillium) and E. Diddles ;)

*Fab! Correspondent Tip: Beware of the cranberry and Grey Goose cocktail! After one of these little concoctions, I was convinced I had wasted $12 on a glass of cranberry juice with a splash of vodka. However, after the second, I realized I had actually fallen victim to an experienced bartender, a woman who knows how to make a drink that’s silent, but deadly!

By 11:30 p.m., the party was on and popping!
As us regulars know (and frequently complain about), this venue does not possess a DJ permit and must rely on an iPod playlist to get the crowd on the dance floor. Well, whoever served as “iPod Master,” that night, was either well-paid or good friends with a DJ ‘cause I swear someone snuck turntables into the building :)

Ever the gentleman, K Pritty had shared the spotlight with The Boston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Eta Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., who were throwing their Fusion II party simultaneously. And they certainly represented!! - I swear, one brotha treated every song like he was at step-show practice…I kept lookin’ for the rest of his line brothas to come and GET him ‘cause he was lookin’ some kinda crazy doing all that jazz, all by himself…LOL…

All in all, this party gets an A, in my book, the Fab! Crew had an enjoyable time…working up a sweat, sipping on some Moet, and ‘reppin the Fab! to the fullest!!!!
