7.17 Summer in the Parks | Coolidge Corner | Brookline

Enjoy the Summer in the Parks free outdoor movie series in Brookline at the
Devotion School Field (345 Harvard St, Brookline).

This Thursday they will be showing the classic movie "Casablanca"


There will be food vendors and Coolidge Corner Merchant sponsor tables before the show. You can also bring your own goodies but no alcohol is allowed.

Remember to bring a blanket to sit on and a handy flashlight so you can find your way back to your car. Parking will be limited.

The Fireplace Restaurant (1634 Beacon Street, Brookline) has live music weekly on Wednesdays and Thursday from 9:30 - midnight. Wednesdays are Jazz, Thursdays are Latin.

The menu is a bit pricey - at around $25 per plate, but the cocktail menu and dessert menu are is reasonable at around $10

5.17 Free Beer and Cheese! | The Wine Gallery

This Saturday, DrinkCraftBeer.com with Westfield Farm are sponsoring Free Beer and Cheese Parings at The Wine Gallery (375 Bolyston St, Brookline).

You'll get to sample a variety of beers ranging from Belgian Style Dubbels, hoppy IPAs, American Imperial Stouts (I'm a liquor fan, so maybe you know what all that means!) each beer will be paired with a unique goat cheese from Westfield Farm. Devon and Jeff from DrinkCraftBeer.com will be on hand to guide you through each carefully selected beer and cheese pairing so you might learn something!

The event is from 3pm - 6pm and is free and open to the public.
