Recap: Trunk Show Ray Harris and Holly Masterson | Taj Boston

Tonight my Fab! Friend Melissa invited me to check out a trunk show for English Fashion Designer Ray Harris and Santa Fe jewelry designer Holly Masterson at the Taj Boston (15 Arlington St, Back Bay Room)

The trunk show, is a sneak peak into designer fashions. The back bay room, acts as boutique where where you can sip on complimentary wine, whist you mix and mingle with the designers and fellow shoppers. Partial proceeds of sales goes to The Red Cross.

I was absolutely intrigued by Mastersons pieces. All items are hand crafted down to the chains of the necklaces. The necklace pieces ever evolve as you purchase one-of-a-kind interchangeable charms links to go with your varying outfits or moods. Her designs are called Ancient Contemporary Jewelry as she uses ancient artifacts such as coins from 300 - 500 BC, shells, artifacts and other rare and unique items. Prices for the pieces start around $200 for earrings and necklaces bracelets and necklaces are over $400, but when you look at the craftsmanship you can certainly understand why.

Ray Harris' designs are saturated with brilliant colors of lime greens, deep blues reds and purples as well as more subdued colors for the not-so-adventurous. The crinkly (on purpose) fabrics make up scarf-like pieces that seem to drape and hug snugly in all the right places. Great additions to any fall and winter wardrobe.

Both designers pieces complement each other famously. And would be great gifts or pieces to spice up your wardrobe.

The trunk show continues through Sunday.

Friday & Saturday
10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Sunday
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Stay Fab! :)
