Mini Recap: We BEAT LA!! | Celtics win 17th Champion Title

Fabulously Submitted by
BostonFab! Correspondent A-Marie

Around this time last year the Boston Celtics were the 2nd worst team in the NBA. Last night, Boston buried LA, 131-92, in a true showcase of teamwork and determination.
Kobe and company didn’t know what hit them.

ALL of our players showed up to play. Our series MVP, Paul Pierce, (I love him!) had 17 points. KG and Ray Allen both had 26 points. Rondo did his thing with 22 points. Posey had 11. House had 9. I mean, our bench was so deep last night - Doc Rivers took all our starters out of the game with 4:01 left on the clock in the last quarter!! But who could blame him? We were already up 116-81. It was a wrap!

It feels good to be in Boston right now –AKA- Titletown!

It was destiny. The ‘617’ - We won our 17th title in Game 6 on 6/17…get it? 6 - 1- 7 - now that’s fab! (Shout out to my cousin, Ms. Mandy for breaking it down for me) :).

Mini Recap : NBA Finals Game 3

So, how come I got more of a rise out of spotting all of the celebrities in the stands such as Eddie Murphy, Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington and Spike Lee than from the actual game? It just annoyed me how everything was so ‘Hollywood’ last night…from Kobe’s dramatics to the red carpet draped in front of the Staples Center - guess we truly are in la la land.

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett had 17 points combined - really. Rajon Rondo went down with a sprained ankle in the third quarter. Seems like the only player on our team who showed up last night was Ray Allen with 25 points and five were three-point shots. Go Ray! For the Lakers, it was just anothe episode in the Kobe Bryant Show. Alright so he's a good player, but I don’t think he’s good enough to win this series for the Lakers. The Celtics are way more dominant this year and we'll come hard in game 4. I mean, it wouldn't be worth watching if it was a sweep!

Game 4 is this Thursday night at 9 PM EST on ABC

Mini Recap: Game 2 NBA Finals

Fabulousy submitted by

And so the story goes, two down…two to go!

I will say this uh - Celtics - how could you let yourselves get so comfortable? Allowing the Lakers to come back within two after being down by as many as 24 points at the beginning of the 4th Quarter (Come on fellas…don’t let that happen in LA!)! But did you see my new favorite man in ‘green’ Leon Powe? And his unbelievable performance, scoring 21 points, dominating the paint at the free throw line 13 times! Of course, other stellar performances came from seasoned pros, Paul Pierce with 28 points, Kevin Garnett, 17 points and 14 rebounds and cutie Rajon Rondo contributing a game-high of 16 assists.

Did anybody else get tired of Phil Jackson whining about how lopsided the game was with foul shots? I swear, between him and Kobe... instead of crying, the Lakers need to come up with an answer to our defense…but let’s hope they don’t do that and we sweep the series in LA!

Game 3 is Tuesday night at the Staples Center in L.A. Pregame coverage begins at 8 PM game starts at 9 PM EST on ABC.
