The C’s started off with some serious wackness, only shooting 27 percent during the first 12 minutes allowing the Lakers to get real cute. Lamar Odom came up big…Pau Gasol brought it too. And the Lakers bench was on the sidelines straight clowning!

By the half - you thought it was over didn't you? Don't lie - you were like - it's alright - we had a good run, we're still the #2 best team in the league. Man - I dunno what Doc Rivers said in the locker room at half-time, but the Celtics returned with a vengence. Paul Pierce came out putting the pressure on Kobe and would not let up.

Like I’ve been saying from day one, when the Celtics put Kevin Garnett on the block, he's a beast! No one in the NBA can defend him in the paint! Add that to the stellar performances from our ‘Big Three’; Ray Allen; playing the entire 48 minutes, and hot boys Eddie House and James Posey; we proved which team really has this championship on lock!

Game 5 is this Sunday night at 8:30 PM EST on ABC!

My prediction: we win :)

Mini Recap : NBA Finals Game 3

So, how come I got more of a rise out of spotting all of the celebrities in the stands such as Eddie Murphy, Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington and Spike Lee than from the actual game? It just annoyed me how everything was so ‘Hollywood’ last night…from Kobe’s dramatics to the red carpet draped in front of the Staples Center - guess we truly are in la la land.

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett had 17 points combined - really. Rajon Rondo went down with a sprained ankle in the third quarter. Seems like the only player on our team who showed up last night was Ray Allen with 25 points and five were three-point shots. Go Ray! For the Lakers, it was just anothe episode in the Kobe Bryant Show. Alright so he's a good player, but I don’t think he’s good enough to win this series for the Lakers. The Celtics are way more dominant this year and we'll come hard in game 4. I mean, it wouldn't be worth watching if it was a sweep!

Game 4 is this Thursday night at 9 PM EST on ABC

It is so exciting to be living in the Bean right now! Much respect goes out to Paul Pierce for showing such great tenacity in last night’s game. There were so many great moments to highlight…Paul Pierce’s dramatic emergence from the locker room after he went down with a sprained knee in the 3rd quarter…then coming back to score two consecutive three pointers! Kevin Garnett’s monster dunk over Pau Gasol with 1:32 left on the clock! Not to mention the excellent job we did of keeping Kobe Bryant from getting a hot hand! By the end of the game, I was saying, ‘Kobe who?’ With Celtics taking it - final score of 98-88.

I am still in awe of it all! But, as much as I love the game, right now, it was only Game 1! We still have a few more pages to write before we're in the history books, but we're off to an amazing start!

If you’re like me with no tickets to Game 1 of the NBA Finals (boo!), check out my list of hot spots to check out the game:

• With it’s newest location right around the corner from the Garden, Boston Beer Works (112 Canal Street) has two floors with 15 television screens and 15 pool tables! Now that’s a whole lot of sports going on!!!
  


• The Blue Wave Bar & Grill (343 Congress Street) is not only club hot spot, but is a great place to watch the game over a good meal and a nice martini! The Blue Wave boasts flat screen televisions over the bar as well as a 42-inch plasma for your viewing pleasure.



• Jillian’s Boston (145 Ipswich Street) is located next to Fenway Park, where you will find just about anything going on here – pool, bowling, dancing, and good food. It's 18+ after 8 PM on Thursdays.



• Serious Boston sports fans know that Game On (82 Landsdowne Street) is the real deal! This place claims to have more HD-projection televisions than a Best Buy showroom! Thursday nights is also Trivia Thursdays where you have a chance to win a $50 cash prize. If you do stop by, definitely try the Dee Double burger…it's soooo good!
  
  
• You know the luck of the Irish will be present at The Blarney Stone (1505 Dorchester Avenue) and this is a favorite spot to watch the game for many local Bostonians. The Green is back! Celtics Return to the NBA Finals!

It is time to pull out the throw back Larry Bird and Bill Russell jerseys because we’re going to the NBA FINALS!

Friday night’s 89-81 win marked a historic achievement for the Celtics as they took Game 6 and closed out a hard fought series against the Detroit Pistons.

So, this is how Game 6 went down…Paul Pierce had an impressive 27 points, 12 of which came during an explosive fourth quarter after bringing the Celtics back from a 10-point deficit. Other stand out players in the game included Ray Allen with a cool 17 points and Kevin Garnett with 16 points.

This trip to the Finals will be a first for Paul Pierce who has spent his entire career as a Boston Celtic. This will also be Kevin Garnett’s first appearance in a NBA Finals game after spending 13 years in the league. So, the luck of the Green is back in Boston. And just when you didn’t think it could get any better than this, we will be facing the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals. Boston and LA are two of the most storied teams in NBA franchise history. This match up is going to be craaaazy!

The last time we made it to the NBA Finals back in ’87, we played against the Lakers.
