I took a break from the film festival to check out the Peace 2008 Hip Hop Festival in City Hall Plaza. The crowd was small for the amount of space, but there had been showers and thunderstorms earlier in the day, so it was understandable. I am not a true hip hop head so for me it was just a bit of education about the hip hop in Boston and I'm down for anything that promotes postive music and peace. As for the highlights I really enjoyed local Akrobatik's (his latest album is in stores now) postive lyrics and style as well as Chubb Rock's getting the crowd hype with the oldskool.
