This trip to the Finals will be a first for Paul Pierce who has spent his entire career as a Boston Celtic. This will also be Kevin Garnett’s first appearance in a NBA Finals game after spending 13 years in the league. So, the luck of the Green is back in Boston. And just when you didn’t think it could get any better than this, we will be facing the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals. Boston and LA are two of the most storied teams in NBA franchise history. This match up is going to be craaaazy!

*Fab! Sports Fact: Boston holds 16 NBA titles, more than any other team in the NBA. The Lakers have won 14 titles. Boston and LA have met in the Finals 10 times. The last time we made it to the NBA Finals back in ’87, we played against the Lakers. The Boston/LA rivalry has been dormant for more than two decades, but has been quickly resurrected as“Beat L.A., Beat L.A!” was shouted from the locker room on Friday night. The NBA is exciting once again!
The 2008 NBA Finals begin on Thursday, June 5th in Boston.
